Endurance Explorer Unit
Endurance Explorer Unit often meet between about 1945 and 2145 on Thursday evenings during Term time in The Cabin at Willesley Campsite.
We attempt to run the Explorer Scout programme, and are working on the Duke Of Edinburgh Award Scheme in combination with some life skills and a bucket load of fun thrown in for good measure...
In the past year we've learnt knots to rescue penguins, cooked lots of things on fires ( ate some of them ), raced rafts, been bike riding, helped out at the opening ceremony of the 21st World Scout Jamboree in front of 40,000 Scouts!, been night hiking, navigated with the stars, hosted 100 Brazillian Scouts on the way to the Jamboree, re-recorded the Beatles 'Yellow Submarine', played handbells...and some other things...
Explorers are Members of The Scout Association aged between 14 and 18.

14th February, we went speed dating with the other Units in the District...
The week before, we lit fires, cooked pancakes, then went cross country pancake racing...
On the 1st March, we're did a training course to allow us to train on the KataKanus..
And we're also going to learn how to drive one of these...
