The Shooting Range

This purpose built indoor 10 metre shooting range accommodates 3 shooters at any one time. It has a waiting area for approximately 6 shooters. Written parental consent must be produced before individuals under 18 can take part in shooting. This is a scout association regulation. Only 0.177 air rifles can be used.
This activity can only be run by a person holding an appropriate qualification.
Recommended number of participants per 2 hour session: 15 - 20

Pioneering

A selection of pioneering poles are available free of charge. It is advised you bring your own ropes. No pulleys are available.

Orienteering

orienteering The site has a 40 marker orienteering course. Use of the course is free. You can use preset courses that are designed for all age groups, or you "can have the answers" to design your own to fit in with the theme of your camp.


The Climbing Tower

The climbing tower
The site has a 15 metre climbing and abseil tower. Climbing is carried out on one side of the tower to a height of 9 metres whilst abseiling is carried out at the full height of 15 metres. Campsite instructors can be requested or campers with proof of appropriate authorisation may run this activity.
This activity can only be run by a person holding an appropriate qualification.
**The climbing tower is only available for use by members of the scout and guide association**

Pedal Karting

The campsite has four pedal karts available for hire for use around our purpose built karting track. Any competent leader can run this activity after reading the risk assessment. The karts are adjustable so are suitable for all ages up to 15 years.

Potholing Course

The Willesley potholing course is an underground maze designed for first time cavers. It is ideal for those who are going underground for the first time. The lighting level can be varied to suit individuals. Any competent leader can run this activity after a short induction from Willesley staff and reading the risk assessment. It is advisable old clothes are worn and torches are recommended as it can be wet and dark.

Bouldering Wall

Bouldering wall
The Willesley bouldering wall is a portable box cube with climbing holds secured to the inside. Any competent leader may run this activity after reading the risk assessment.

Archery

Archery
Archery is available on site on the lakeside camping area. The campsite, have a full range of size of bows to suit all age groups but these are only available with our instructors.
Campers are welcome to bring there own equipment and run the activity themselves

Spider Frame

Spider Frame
The spider frame is a web of bungee cord that you have to try and manoeuvre yourself through. Will you get to the other end or just tie yourself up in knots? Any competent leader can run this activity after reading the risk assessment.

Crate Stacking

The crate stacking activity is run from The Dell; near the climbing tower. The record is 33 single crates. Can you beat it?
